Copyrights of articles published in the HSJ journals (Current Herpetology and Bulletin of the Herpetological Society of Japan) belong to the Herpetological Society of Japan (6 December 2016).

After accepted. Preprints (e.g. manuscripts before accepted) cannot be OA.
- The published version (typeset PDF) can be OA.
- How can those be OA?
On personal websites of the authors, repositories of universities and institutions, the websites of research grant funding organization, and non-profit archives (for example ResearchGate).
- When can those be OA?
Two years after publication.
